And the last of the great Ellis family

I am sort of sorry I started this family introduction thing. It's hard work and I want to get back to my stampin' things.  We are done with my family.  I won't even do this with my own family.

So, let's get back to sharing what I love.  My family, yes.  My love for stamping and crafting.  I retired a couple years ago from a job I dearly loved.  It was a structured job.... having to answer to people all the time; having to meet deadlines on everyone else's schedule; keep up with the most current information; and be places dictated by others.  I enjoyed that.  When I retired, I found an open door for doing something a little different.

Now, I don't profess to be the most creative, talented Stampin' Up! demonstrator but I have to give myself credit in growing in this field.  I am my own boss!  I do have deadlines but they are deadlines I manage and meet because what I have to turn in is something I want, not what others want.  I want to do this.  I feel good inside.... no knots in my stomach..... no worrying about that I didn't do well enough to please someone else.....  not needing to get dressed to go somewhere else each day.
My day starts when I want it to.   So, this thing (this company) has edged into my life and I love it.  It doesn't remove me from friends or family.  It actually strengthens me.  I get to interact with others and am able to see different viewpoints in life.   Share what I Love. Love what I do.

I just wanted to share this with you.  This is important to me.  As you are important to me as well.
I hope you find satisfaction in whatever it is that you like doing because I know I am finding satisfaction in what I am doing with Stampin' Up!.  Come join me on my pinkpigy@aol.com piglets team.

Me Again! We're done and ready to post cards and such

Here is a more recent pigture of the four remaining kids in our family.
I have to laugh because each one of us is unique.  While our parents weren't perfect models of a wedding couple they had almost 45 years together.  What a life!

Brother #2 Brett

Five out of the five us kids....Brett Cosby
He was the baby and always tended to be left out of things, but he just tagged along anyway.  He had pneumonia, Valley Fever, had to get glasses at a young age.  You know - things that kids back back then just weren't suppose to get.  He was a super good giving child.  Blond curly hair. He would give anything he had just to be around us.  We don't keep in touch hardly at all.  It's been a couple years.  Isn't that sad that we don't make the first move to connect. yep.  I heard through one our aunts that he had gone to Russia over a year ago.  Don't know what he's doing now.  I think about him alot.
What a cutie he was.  Gotta love the overalls!
Here's that fuzzy pigture look again.
Anyway, he is still my brother and love him dearly.  So, life goes on.
He and our brother Doug usually shared a bedroom. Boys in one and girls in the other.  One morning they were arguing about something and our Mom comes in and asks them what their problem is. Doug said "he says I fell out of my bunkbed last night and I know I didn't." Brett replied, "yes you did." A few bickerings back and forth later, my Mom turned to Brett and asked him what made him so sure Doug had fallen from his bed.  Brett looked at them and said "because I saw you go by."  How could you not laugh at that one.

Brother #1 - Doug

Okay, so I am back to family introductions.  I sure got sidetracked from when I finished introducing my sister, Peggy.  Doug is the third out of the five us kids.  His whole name is William Douglas and he is unique in his own way.  He could get me to believing anything he said or wanting me to do.  He loves to go back into times when we were growing up and having fun no matter where we were.  I keep in touch with him throughout the year and get together with him a few times.  I know that's not alot but for our family.  No one seems to make the time to get together.  We're so busy in our own lives.
Here is a pigture of him - taken years ago.   This ?Doug and his wife Karen - pigture is fuzzy or too  many drinks?  I could use the excuse that it's to protect the innocent. hahaha!
This one is a long time ago.  Pigture him now with silver hair!
I don't want to spoil his beautiful image.  He would like these.
So, Doug is really generous in today's society, but I remember when we were in high school (he was one year ahead of me) and he had this really cool '57 Chevy that he had painted a green color. He named her Hazel.  So, I was walking home from school and turned to see this car coming from behind me.  It slowed down next to me and he leaned over to the passenger side and just looked at me.  I started to get in on the passenger side but he pulled forward and looked away and drove on.  I was so mad at him, but that was the way he was back in the high school days.  He claims to this day he didn't do that and would never do that to his sister.  Yeah! Right!  Would you believe he was the mascot for Mesa Community College at one time?! Gotcha back big brother.  When we were kids, we were always getting into things. It didn't matter that we thought we were in trouble for going into gulch while the Army was doing their maneuvers or that Doug almost blew up our house by hiding explosives in his closet or that we were told not to go into the woods or that we were caught spying on the family that wore funny looking underclothes or not to run through the spray truck or chase the cows in the pasture.  NOPE!  We were a team and laugh at it all. And, what would Doug have to say to it all.......  Jane did it!   Visit again when I finish our family introductions with our baby brother Brett.   Thanks for stopping by.  pinkpigy@aol.com

I Did IT! Got my pre order in

So, There are so  many things I want to make using some of the neat products featured in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  If you are one of my Pinkpigy Club piglets or a customer of mine, you will be receiving your catalog soon.  There are 43 pages in this little booklet.  So, get ready to cruise and make your Wish List so you can start building your Stampin' Up! collection for the holidays.
Save a little here, a little there.  Here's a pigture of the front cover.
When it is available online, you can also go there and look through it (or maybe even look through the big Idea Book & Catalog).  What a great idea.  I apologize for the sideways image.  I have to figure out how to get it turned around without going back to my camera.
