Top of the mornin' to all of you piglets out there. Wear green so you don't get pinched!
It has been hot the past few days (as high as 90). We need to be in the low 80s to feel the spring effect, but if we jump too high, it will likely be a long, hot summer. We are living in a desert and this is normal for the desert - just not for us folks who are living in it. Aaaahhhh, just a little wallow in the mud and this pinkpigy will be cooled down and thank goodness for modern conveniences. After last night, we are thinking of turning the air conditioning on. Blah! (I mean, snort, snort!)
I've been busy. Cleaning the craft room (not done yet); working on Saturday's club projects (these are done and just need to clean up the kitchen/family room area for Saturday; working on sale items (on going projects - just feel like its going no where fast); and of course, family things like picking girls up from school and attending track meets. I haven't had enough to 'root' around for finding any good corn cobs or slop that someone has tossed to me. So, back to cleaning.
Well, here are a couple of pigtures for you to see what I have been doing:
This one is of the matchbox dresser using Peach Parfait. The little flowers are not Stampin' Up! but I am in the process of learning to make them. I was in a crunch at the last minute and had to do something to finish my Dazzlin' Divas swap. Me bad!!!!! However, pushing back the drawers and side in place, it looks better.
These are little metal tins with a candle inside. I used the Patterns Designer Series Paper Packs.
I stamped flowers using the Vintage Vogue stamp set and Perfect Plum ink and then cut the flowers out and layered them together. Pearls line the perimeter. I ran Pear Pizzazz cardstock through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing foler and then punched the butterfly with the butterfly punch. The flowers were also done from Vintage Vogue and Pear Pizzazz ink. Clearly for You "for you" is stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink and sponged around the edges and then punched with the small oval punch and popped up with dimensionals. You can put a tealight in the small tin or anything that will fit inside (jewelry, tags, choc-o-late).
Ribbon is 1/8" Whisper White and Very Vanilla.
So, I must get going now. Back to projects.
Happy pigtrails to you, pinkpigy@aol.com
